Mitch Northey Rough Cut

I got out of class early this morning, so I had almost a 3 hour break. I called up mitch to come to the skatepark and have some fun, I was all skated out by the time he got there so I grabbed the 5D and went to work, at first he wasn't feelin it, he was in shorts and it was like 12°C. but I think we got some pretty good stuff today. I was stoked...

So after a long build up, the 2 Alliance sites (wakeboard and wakeskate) have merged to create a super site of wicked content and goodness. pretty much new everything. go see it NOW!

i drove around 1027km from friday evening to sunday night. this timelapse was taken over the last 200km of my travels on sunday night.

Some Updates

Been pretty busy up north teaching little ones to wakeboard, I'm finally getting some time to update this a bit with whats been going on.

I made this recently, its for my dads RC Flying club, it was pretty sweet watching all these things rip on the airfield.



Also I got last weeks Monday Cover on Alliance Wakeskate doing a crooked grind on the funnest flat bar I've ever hit.



Lastly, i've been getting the chance to play around with a Canon EOS 5D MarkII. It is a super fun camera to shoot video with, and I'm starting to shoot a small timelapse video with it. I'll post a sample soon.

Depth of Field Adapter test 1

so ive been researching how to build a vibrating depth of field adapter on my own, as well as aquiring parts over the last 3 months, 5 days ago i started building it, as of right now i dont have a camera to take any pictures of it but i do have a test video that i shot with it on my DVX today so here it is.

there is still a ton of grain which is not liked but i still love the way this video turned out.

What a Weekend

Ok, so, Friday night I drove on up to Jamie Whiteheads place to ride at Blue mountain the next day, get up at like 6:30, jump in the hot tub to wake us up and then start the 3 hour drive up to blue with Jamie and Jake Cooke, upon getting there we meet up with the Lib Tech rep to get our passes and lunch tickets. we look over and sitting there is Matt Beardmore and Seth Huot inviting us to go ride, I was crazy stoked. So we rode with those guys until it started raining. Then we headed back to Newcastle.

I then decided to go over to Paul Sabertons house in Pickering for the night to hang out. We ended up going to see Watchmen, which is a pretty long and crazy movie.

Sunday morning I got a call from Jono Boysen to go winching in Toronto, the weather was very fair so I headed to Etobicoke and chilled on the lake while we waited for the rest of the crew. once everyone got in we headed to the Old Mill drop on Humber river which was running like rapids from the rain the day before, there was no way anyone could hit that spot, unless they had a kayak.

From there we went and checked out the Smythe park drop which was also running too fast but it was flooded enough that we could wallride the concrete siding further down thru the golf course there. Jono got some good wallrides down and we left and grabbed McDonalds.



That's about it, oh yea, I filmed this little time lapse on the ride home.

My neighbors are so sweet, today I received a bunch of cool filters and stuff as well as a mint P A N O R A M A camera and an ordinary roll of 400iso film, now I'm not usually into 400 because it's a bit grainy for me, but this film is 18 years expired. EIGHT-TEEN freakin years!!!!! I haven't even heard of the brand hahaha.
